immortal plastic Hoplites 2

A foot soldier, nice scupt, crisp detail just found it a tad hard to paint the shield back when stuck to the figure.

Immortal plastic hoplites

Picked a box of these up at salute,as with must things i buy at shows,i have no idea why i brought them:-)) Maybe because of the nice box.Anyway very nice detailed figures lots of options to mix up heads, arms etc etc.Transfers are water slide, work ok but wargamming shield transfers have moved on these days with "Little bigman"etc. Not keen on the spears, bit brittle may replace if doing a lot of them with steel spears, another thing is a few unarmoured type figures,if your doing an army i would think they would be handy for light infantry but i would have liked a box of all hoplites and buy the light infantry seperate.

anyway here is the officer.

Uruk-hai Berserker

Plastic but better then most of the plastic's in have done so far, found him in a box of odds and sods in the shed.He had the flaming torch in his right hand broken so i stuck a shield on him.colours as before with the Lutz figure i did.

Grima Wormtongue

A metal this time, what a difference to plastic, nice easy figure to paint as well, undercoated in americana matt black, drybrushed foundry mid grey, then the hair to give it a greasy look was highlighted with miniature paints black.

Legolas

Another plastic LOTR figure.Nice figures but again with plastic the detail does fade in certain area's,this time it was where the hair meets the arrows on his back, takes a bit of creative painting.
